2012 Best Lawyers Awards
Congratulations to our teachers David Prince, Kerry Murphy, Michael Jones, Nigel Dobbie and Sudrishti Reich, who have once again been identified by the Australian Financial Review as amongst Australia's Best Lawyers. Our teachers bring their professional skills to the task of preparing our students for future practice as migration agents.
Annual ANU Media Awards 2011
ANU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ian Young, has recognised the contribution that staff make to the level of public debate through the annual Media Awards. Presented on Friday 2 December at a ceremony at University House, Migration Law Sub-Dean Marianne Dickie was awarded the best result from a media release 'Ball is in the High Court for asylum seekers'.
MIA Henry Giblett Award 2011
The educational skills of Kerry Murphy, who teaches in our Program and convenes our Australian Refugee Law & Practice short course have been recognised by the Migration Institute of Australia. At the September MIA Conference Kerry was awarded the Henry Giblett Award for outstanding contribution to education. Congratulations to Kerry from all at the Migration Law Program.

International Womens Day 2011
Congratulations also to Marianne Dickie, who has been recognised with an ANU International Women's Day Award for her inspirational role as Sub-Dean of the Migration Law Program.
ANU College of Law Excellence in Education Award 2010
The ANU College of Law has awarded Migration Law Program teacher Alan Freckelton the 'Excellence in Education' Award for 2010. Congratulations Alan.
Pride of Australia Medal for graduate Sister Pat Sealey
Congratulations to Sister Pat Sealey who has been nominated for a Pride of Australia medal for the second year running. Since completing her Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law & Practice three years ago, 78 year old Sister Sealey has voluntarily helped 100 asylum seekers become Australian residents.
