Individual courses & cross-institutional study
Individual courses
The ANU College of Laws encourages domestic students who want to pursue an interest in law to enrol in individual courses that form part of the Masters Program. This is called non-award enrolment. Non-award enrolment is study that does not lead to a degree. You will be asked to fulfill all course requirements, including attendance and assessment, and will receive a formal grade at the end of the course.
If you'd later like to attempt a Masters Program, you will be able to count your non-award courses as status towards that study (within seven years).
Cross-institutional study
If you are currently enrolled at another university and wish to complete an individual course at ANU to count towards your degree from that university you can apply for cross-institutional enrolment. You must fulfill all course requirements, including attendance and assessment, and will receive a formal grade at the end of the course.
How to apply
- Download the ANU Application for Non-Award Enrolment: Postgraduates (PDF 188KB) form.
- Submit the completed form to Admissions, along with any relevant certified documents and transcripts, and required documentation.
Fees
Non-award and cross-institutional students pay the same fees as any other Masters student.
FEE-Help
Students taking individual courses (Non-award students) are not eligible to apply for FEE-HELP.
Cross-institutional students may be eligible for FEE-HELP for the ANU course if they already receive FEE-HELP for their current studies. Please read the application form carefully for more information and submit the required documentation with your application.
