Law reform in Australia

Law reform takes place in many different forms and fora, some of it behind the closed doors of politics and lobbying. Much of it, however, is public, although not necessarily participatory. We list here bodies whose role it is to engage in public discussion of proposed law reform; these bodies include national, state and territory law reform agencies, parliamentary committees, and other public agencies who fulfill a law reform role from time to time.
