Bachelor of Laws

An excellent grounding

In the single degree you will study a mixture of compulsory and elective courses.  You can choose from a rich selection of electives in a broad range of areas, including International Law, Environmental Law, Law Reform and Human Rights Law.  The degree also allows you to study 8 non-law elective courses, in order to further enrich your study experience.

Most courses are worth 6 units each and 48 units is the standard 'full time load'.  In a normal full time semester you will take four courses totalling 24 units.

Compulsory courses will give you an excellent grounding in the fundamental branches of the law.

Elective courses grant a deepening understanding in your areas of special interest.

Course delivery

Classes are normally scheduled between 8.00am & 6.00pm, on campus at ANU.
