The 2011 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject have place ANU 15th in the world for law.
In other fields ANU placed 12th for history, 13th for sociology, 18th for mathematics and 20th for accounting and finance, and psychology. ANU Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Young said the latest rankings reflected the quality of research and teaching activities at the University.
"These rankings are welcome news," he said." As Australia’s national university ANU strives to set the standard for teaching and research. I congratulate all ANU staff on this excellent result. The overall success of ANU in these rankings has reinforced the University’s position as a world leader in quality education and research," Professor Young said.
